Work environment, responsibilities and consequences – Module 1

This module provides a fundamental introduction to work environment, responsibilities and consequences when using work equipment. It is a common theory course for crane, forklift and earth-moving machine training, and serves as the foundation for further certified safety training.

Learning objectives

The course aims to give participants a solid understanding of relevant laws and regulations, and how to ensure safe and compliant use of work equipment.

Course content

The training includes:

• Accidents and their causes
• Working Environment Act
• Internal Control Regulations
• Machinery Regulations
• Regulations on the Performance of Work
• Safety signage and signaling
• External environment
• Insurance and liability
• Dangerous goods

Course structure

• Module 1.1 – 8 hours theory
• Duration: 1 day
• Ends with a theoretical test

Further training

This module is the first step in several certification paths and can be followed by:

• Module 2.1 – Forklift
