About the course
Through lectures, demonstrations and hands-on labs, this three-day course covers how to deploy the components of a secure Google Cloud solution. Participants also learn mitigation techniques for attacks including Distributed Denial-of-Service, phishing and threats involving content classification.

- Understanding the Google approach to security
- Managing administrative identities using Cloud Identity
- Implementing least-privilege access using Cloud IAM and Resource Manager
- Implementing IP traffic controls using VPC firewalls and Cloud Armor
- Implementing Identity Aware Proxy
- Analysing configuration changes with GCP audit logs
- Scanning for and redacting sensitive data with the Data Loss Prevention API
- Remediating vulnerabilities, especially in public access to data and VMs
Audience and prerequisites
For cloud information security analysts, architects and engineers, as well as cloud application developers. Requires completion of Google Cloud Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure and Networking in Google Cloud Platform, plus foundational knowledge of information security concepts.
